Joining in 2024 with 7 years’ prior experience in the sector, Cat has progressed through various roles with tasks covering fieldwork interviewing, data processing, producing data tables, production of raw data files, charting and more. This gives her a broad understanding of a project’s needs from beginning to end and allows her to produce high quality results for our clients.
She has worked on research projects for a range of sectors such as housing/residential, employee satisfaction, brand recognition and public sector work.
Her day-to-day role at M·E·L Research involves scripting, analysis and outputs using Merlin, SPSS and Forsta.
Cat enjoys spending her personal time relaxing with her husband, as well as gardening, arts & crafts, going to the cinema and cooking.

Ripple Effect Mapping (REM) focuses on discovering and understanding the impacts or effects of a programme, project or intervention using multiple stakeholders. REM adopts a strengths-based approach and looks at how certain actions or efforts play a role in causing the observed changes. The idea is to identify changes or effects and how an intervention caused them - this approach helps to visually map out the outcomes and impacts of a programme or initiative, particularly the indirect or "ripple" effects that may not be immediately apparent.
