Fuel poverty and energy efficiency market research

Fuel poverty and energy efficient market research

We work with a range of third sector organisations to deliver fuel poverty and energy efficiency market research to help understand the outcome and impact of fuel poverty on both the physical and mental wellbeing of populations across the country. We evaluate interventions and programmes to understand what works best to improve energy efficiency within domestic households.

We also look to understand how stakeholders can connect to create stronger partnerships to support those who are most in need. We utilise a range of mixed methods, such as quantitative and qualitative approaches in our research design. Our work is often focused on racialised communicates (that acknowledges that race is a social construct rather than a biological fact), those that are in fuel poverty or at risk of fuel poverty and vulnerable communities.

We have carried out numerous fuel poverty and energy efficient market research for a range of third sector and government bodies. For example, Groundwork Trust, Charis Grants, British Gas Energy Trust to name a few.

Our extensive work for Groundwork for example, has ranged from the HEART (Home Energy Advice Reinforced with Technology) programme, which looked at trialling behaviour change approaches using technology to help change behaviours to the traditional in-home Green Doctor consultation programme. We have also delivered large scale research on fuel poverty via our study for the Healthy Homes Fund programme which involved 43 projects delivering fuel poverty and energy efficiency interventions to assist low-income and vulnerable households to demonstrate positive health impacts, alongside the social and economic impact of their project.  If you would like to undertake fuel poverty market research or would like to discuss your needs in more detail, please get in touch via our contact page.
