Our approach to social value

We believe that all businesses have a duty to be socially responsible, to re-invest in society, be active contributors to the local community, and to minimise their environmental impacts. We push for social value – in why we work, how we work and who we work with. In practice this means:

  • We only work with clients who demonstrably contribute to social value.
  • Our expertise lies in navigating intricate queries and challenging subjects, particularly with audiences often perceived as challenging to reach or easy to overlook. We encourage our clients to adopt this same approach.
  • We are proud to be a Real Living Wage Employer.
  • Annually, we allocate 5% of our profits to charitable causes, which is in addition to our project-specific social value contributions and charitable activities.
  • Our team is driven to provide insights in the most ethical and engaging manner achievable. We utilise EDI-led and trauma informed approaches.
  • We have signed up to the MRS’s Climate Pledge. Details of our Carbon Reduction Plan are here.
  • We are signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant Pledge, showing our unwavering support commitment to the Armed Forces Community.
  • We support our team members in their individual social initiatives and in embodying our core values. Each employee is entitled to two days of paid leave every year to contribute to a charitable cause they support.
  • We conduct pro-bono research projects and offer the ‘Research with a Purpose‘ omnibus service biannually.
  • Our team has access to in-house mental health first aiders and a custom healthcare package that supports both physical and mental well-being.

To support our delivery of social value, a corporate social responsibility delivery team of 12 staff drawn from all levels of the organisation is in place. This ensures that delivery in this area is led by the passions and interests of our team members.
