Mind is a mental health charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Working with M·E·L Research, Mind wants to ensure that their helpline services are meeting the needs of those who use them. The Mind Helpline is a vital part of their service and is a primarily telephone based information helpline.
To ensure the service is fit for purpose, we were commissioned to perform an evaluation which could draw out insight, build on improvements and apply ongoing learning across a period of evaluation.
In order to apply ongoing learning and actionable insights, we will be working alongside Mind for three years. Currently in its first year, our evaluation includes a process and outcome assessment of the Helpline service. We are using a fluid mixed methods approach, collecting qualitative and quantitative data.
We recently presented the key findings from year one to internal fundraisers, primary care services policy leads and the research team at Mind. This provided us with the opportunity to share our findings, discuss potential service improvements and focus the direction of year two of the evaluation.
We are looking forward to sharing the final outcomes with you once the evaluation is complete.
