Looking for a New Role? View our Social Research Jobs

M·E·L Research is expanding once again! Following a successful period of growth, we’re excited to announce two new opportunities for experienced research professionals.

We’re looking for talented senior social researchers to join our team. If you’re passionate about using evidence and insights to make a meaningful difference to people, communities and public services, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Hybrid (with a requirement to attend our Birmingham city centre office monthly as a minimum)
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 (37.5 Hours per week) plus potential profit bonus, pension and other benefits
Full job specification: https://melresearch.co.uk/careers/associate-director/

As Associate Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading high-quality research projects, developing client relationships, and driving business growth. This role is ideal for an experienced social research professional looking to combine strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, and to shape the future of social research within a purpose-driven organisation.

Location: Remote (with a requirement to attend the Birmingham city centre office bi-monthly)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 (37.5 Hours per week) plus potential profit bonus, pension and other benefits
Full job specification: https://melresearch.co.uk/careers/senior-evaluation-manager

We’re also seeking a Senior Evaluation Manager to lead our evaluation projects for public services and third sector clients. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering robust, evidence-based evaluations that generate actionable insights and real-world impact.

M·E·L Research is a social research company with a strong social ethos. We’re committed to creating positive change for organisations, employees, customers and wider society. Our team combines analytical rigour with creativity, curiosity and collaboration — helping clients across sectors including health, environment, education, housing, transport and community development.

We’re proud to pay the Real Living Wage, give at least 5% of our net profit to charity each year, and are on track to be Net Zero by 2026. Our hybrid and remote working model supports flexibility and work–life balance, while our training and development opportunities allow you to grow with us.

Applications for both roles close on Monday 27th April.
All applicants must be UK residents with the right to work in the UK.

If you’re searching for your next step in social research and want to join a team that delivers work with purpose, this is your chance.
