M·E·L Research Thrilled to Welcome Tyler Mckenzie as Research Apprentice
M·E·L Research, the social research agency dedicated to making a positive impact on organisations, employees, customers, and society as a whole, is delighted to announce the addition of Tyler McKenzie to the team as a Market Research Apprentice.
Tyler said:
“My interest in research lies in understanding the underlying reasons behind people’s thoughts and exploring the fascinating variations in responses among different demographics. I am excited to continue learning and look forward to managing my own research projects someday. Apprenticeships offer numerous advantages by combining learning and hands-on experience, which is great for me because I get to learn new things and I have support whilst doing so. Ultimately, my goal is to become a professional market researcher in the future.”
Commenting on the appointment, Jane Frost CBE, CEO of the Market Research Society, said:
“Apprenticeships are a powerful tool to extend the diversity of our sector, they are a great opportunity to bring in diverse talent. I am delighted that M·E·LResearch are supporting this programme, which I know will enrich their research. Congratulations on your inaugural apprentice!”
Tyler joins M·E·L Research as part of the Market Research Society (MRS) Apprenticeship Scheme, which aims to attract fresh talent to the insight sector. The MRS has made it clear that is supports apprenticeships as a crucial stepping stone into the research profession, promoting social mobility, and fostering a diverse and inclusive sector that mirrors the population that market and social research seeks to understand.
The Market Research Executive Apprenticeship is an exceptional opportunity for individuals aged 18 years and older, including recent school leavers, or for those seeking to upskill within the research industry, such as interviewers. Tyler will gain valuable knowledge and skills in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, as well as digital and non-digital tools. She is already involved in a range of research projects across both qualitative and quantitative approaches and is working with Kirsty Marshall, Associate Director, as part of a structured internal programme as well as with Swarm Training CIC, who support the external elements of the MRS’ Apprenticeship Standard.
