The Royal Borough of Greenwich wants your views on a proposal to introduce a new Selective Licensing scheme in a designated area. Good quality rented accommodation can provide decent places for our residents to live. However, the Council is aware that this type of accommodation can also be badly managed and selective licensing schemes aim to improve housing conditions in privately rented properties and reduce anti-social behaviour, deprivation and crime.
Selective Licensing is the licensing of single household private rented property. The Royal Borough already operates a borough wide HMO licensing scheme.
