Joe Hall, or, between 8am and 4pm, Mr Hall, recently made local headlines in the Peak District, as his lesson to demonstrate the reach of social media was shared more than 100,000 times in the space of a few days, covering every continent in the world apart from Antartcia. The point of the lesson was to demonstrate that once shared, an image or message on social media is almost impossible to delete: "I photocopied the image and I gave it to each of the pupils in my class. I told them I want to delete it, and I screwed it up. They said they've all got it now, and I told them that is the point, you can't just delete it - now everyone has a copy of it." M·E·L Research has recently undertaken a study on behalf of the NSPCC to understand the differing ways in which parents support their children to engage with the internet, and we wondered if Joe was interested in a more in depth chat to discuss the issue in more detail.
