Quantitative Research

We have over 35 years’ experience in running quantitative research studies for a range of public services clients; from residents consultations to health and wellbeing studies to Survey of Tenants And Residents (STAR) projects amongst others.

Quantitative research is a used to provide a measure of what people think, gathered in a structured way (such as via a survey) to provide us with robust, reliable data which can be statistically analysed. It is suited to collecting data from a relatively large sample or population.

We ensure high levels of quality control over our operations and employ our own in-house field teams to gather our primary data. This includes face to face, telephone and self-completion methods such as postal and online surveys.

Face-to-face interviews

Our field team are from a diverse range of backgrounds and can cater for many minority languages, ideally suited to research in today’s rapidly changing communities, in both urban and rural locations.

We employ strict quality control processes to ensure industry standards are consistently delivered and interviewers are trained to Market Research Society (MRS) and IQCS standards. We offer both CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) and more traditional PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interviewing) services.

Telephone interviews

Having an in-house CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) team allows us to turn around research projects in relatively quick time and also ensure high quality standards are met, using real time call monitoring software.

Interviewers are trained to Market Research Society (MRS) standards and are fully briefed by the Research Manager for each individual project. The team can also cater for a number of minority languages.

Postal and online surveys for market research

Postal surveys

The majority of our postal surveys are processed in-house, ensuring we have tight quality control over every stage of the process. For large batch assignments we have built up relationships with a number of trusted and preferred printing and fulfilment partners, who also have strict data protection and quality procedures in place which meet industry standards.

E-surveys and online surveys

Email surveys offer a quicker and cheaper option of sending out self-completion surveys, compared to postal surveys. Our email survey platform allows us to automatically track responses and send follow up reminders.

Online surveys can be set up very quickly and we offer this as a free service for clients who are using our other quantitative methods, such as postal and paper questionnaires. The results can be combined with other methods or analysed separately as standalone data. We are able to host online surveys from our survey platform or provide the link (URL) to the survey for use on your own and partner websites.

Other quantitative products and services

Other quantitative services include recruitment, refreshing and management of Citizens Panels.
