Background and Context

M·E·L Research completed an employee satisfaction study for the Office for Nuclear Regulation to understand employee’s experiences of working at ONR, 3 years on from the last survey.

Approach

ONR provided a contact list for all of their employees. An email with a unique survey link was sent to all employees to encourage them to complete the survey. Regular reminders were sent throughout fieldwork, to dovetail with internal communications and maximise completion rate. Employees on maternity leave or long-term sick leave were sent a letter by ONR with a QR code linking them to the survey.

Outputs

We created a PowerPoint report to show results which included detailed sub-group up analysis among directorate, band, and characteristics such as gender, age, ethnicity, and whether or not employees were living with a chronic health condition. Analysis included significance testing at 95% level of confidence, as well as detailed comparisons back to 2022 data and Civil Service People Survey 2024 benchmarking data.
