M·E·L Research, proud sponsors of The Human City Institute’s annual lecture

The Human City Institute (HCI) and the Black Country Housing Group, together with Coventry University, Central Consulting and Training, M·E·L Research and Nehemiah Housing are delivering their 9th annual lecture on Tuesday 26th March.

Whilst 2019 marks the HCI’s 9th annual lecture, it also marks our second sponsorship of the event. With a shared commitment to research and evaluation in order to improve social wellbeing, we are proud to be working alongside such an impressive local organisation.

The Human City Institute is a research and campaigning charity and a think-tank. HCI is dedicated to investigating exclusion, social injustice and inequality, promoting sustainable human communities and campaigning to improve the quality of life and happiness of citizens. Like us, the HCI is also based in the heart of England, in Birmingham.

This year’s lecture will be delivered by Professor Kate Pickett and is entitled ‘Creating a Wellbeing Society’. Kate is Professor of Epidemiology at University of York and author of titles such as 'The Inner Level - How More Equal Societies Reduce Stress, Restore Sanity and Improve Everyone’s Wellbeing'. Kate also co-founded and is a Trustee of the Equality Trust, a think-tank and campaign organisation.

We are looking forward to hearing Kate’s lecture and will share our thoughts on the event later this month.
