Co-presentation with Support Northamptonshire at one day LARIA Conference

M·E·L Research will be presenting at the forthcoming LARIA conference 'Output to outcome – getting results through effective communication' via an afternoon workshop session with Support Northamptonshire. Support Northamptonshire collaborated with M·E·L Research on an action research project which has resulted in a new Safer Stronger Neighbourhoods Partnership action programme for two priority estates in Wellingborough.

The workshop aims to provide attendees with:

  • A tangible example of effective partnerships in action, reflecting the drivers for Local Authorities to look outside their own remit and capture research and intelligence for other statutory and VSC partners in an area.
  • A case study involving a very diverse group consisting of Third Sector consortium commissioner, a range of public sector partners including Neighbourhood Policing; and a private sector action research supplier.
  • A working example of action research having demonstrable impact – resulting in the SSNP Strategy.
  • Action research, audit and needs assessment being used to re-orientate collaborative action towards prevention rather than responsive services.
  • Learning about how findings can be disseminated with impact, to build effective local partnerships and generate results.
