The subject of Adam’s talk will be on additional and selective licensing within the private rental sector, where he will be discussing the work that M·E·L Research have been doing for several councils on their PRS licensing schemes.
Using current project examples such as the development of an evidence base to designate a licensing scheme for Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the evaluation of parts of Liverpool City Council’s co-regulated Licensing Scheme and public consultations on licensing, Adam will discuss overcoming the pitfalls and highlighting different approaches. This will be followed by a short Q&A session.
Also on the conference agenda will be discussions and presentations on a range of topics from Electrical Safety Regulations in the PRS to Regulations on Property Agents and Making High Rise Buildings in Liverpool Safe.
Joining the virtual conference will be the Environmental Health Office, representatives from the Public Housing Office and professionals working within the Private Rented Sector who are committed to improving standards and safety.
