BVSC Webinar Tuesday 21st September 2021

M·E·L Research will be presenting the findings from our Ageing Better in Birmingham Tyburn Local Action Plan evaluation during a webinar hosted by BVSC on Tuesday 21st September at 1:30pm.

The webinar is entitled ‘How to involve citizens in changing and improving local areas’ and will focus on sharing experiences and learning from relevant projects in Birmingham.

As well as presentations about similar projects and their outcomes, the webinar will enable attendees to ask questions and find out how to become more active in the development of local initiatives and projects.

We will be presenting our research into two of the four projects we evaluated: Community  Organiser and Happy Street Environmental, delivered through Ageing Better in Birmingham Tyburn Local Action Plan. The Plan aimed to tackle loneliness and isolation in Birmingham by promoting neighbourliness, facilitating safe walking routes, encouraging active citizenship, and developing age-friendly communities. We will discuss the key outcomes and lessons learnt as well as recommendations for similar future projects.

The webinar will start at 1:30pm on Tuesday 21st September and anyone who wishes to take part can sign up here.
